Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah

Years after my first degree, I still see most of my mates searching for non existing white collar jobs. Some of these were best students with excellent GPAs. Unemployment has been a burden for many graduates churned out by the various tertiary institutions across the African continent. Some of these unemployed graduates, out of frustration in waiting on jobs that never come, have formed groups such as the Unemployed Graduates Association in Ghana.

I initiated Guzakuza with the mission of transforming the mindsets of young women to go into agribusiness to be job providers and not job seekers.
In the business world,I have served as a customer and sales personnel at Travel and Tour Worldwide in England and Sifat Communications as Executive Secretary with public sector experience from the National labour commission of Ghana. I am a member of the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development, Association for Women’s Rights in Development , World Pulse, Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs and a Global Shapers at Ho Hub.
I am an Agripreneur, a young woman and a graduate. This automatically makes me part of my target group. Fortunately for me, most of my team members are in this category, so we understand the needs of our target group and have learned how to tackle this issue at the core through innovative interventions.
Through Guzakuza, I strongly believe we will use only one sector to curb six of the SDGs. I want young women to look at me and say, because of you Nana , We didn’t give up.
